Deep in the Forest
Hi!
I’ve been working and living in the forest for the last few months. Every two weeks or so I’ve to drive to the city to get supplies and reconnect with humans. There’s no time to share the abundance of experiences I’ve had but some that stick out are the wildlife. From watching a moose at 6 am of morning driving to work, to bear encounters from far to very close distance (that one was scary).
I’m in the last few weeks of work before the season is over, I’ll be packing up the cabin and taking Doggo and me back to the city. And I feel very excited to be back into my own bed hahaha life in the wild is wonderful but there’s nothing like your own comfy nest.
Working for a conservation park has been wonderful, I got to be in my field talking about wildlife and sharing adventures from the past. I completed some additional hikes and backcountry trips that I had on my list for Canada for while.
Now that I completed this work section, I’ll focus on posting more additional content, truly it has been very busy enjoying the moment. But don’t worry had lots to share.
Some of the greatest news I had during my stay here, was getting my Canadian Citizenship which opens many options for travel without a visa. At least within the Commonwealth and additional territories. I’m working on the next destinations and I have a list of places to go but it all depends on the political and health restrictions. Is hard to know, especially with the War that is going on between Ukraine and Russia.
At moment, will be working on our van and maybe doing some upgrades, plus additional organizing of the house and deciding what things to leave behind for the next expedition. As soon I finished catching up with Instagram I’ll be sharing more content here and possibly creating a podcast, so many ideas and things to do. To be honest, I feel like I never stop and honestly I need a spa day hahaha.
Hope your summer/winter has been productive and fun!
