About Writing

MY THOUGHTS ON PAPER

“Photographs are not to remember the special event but capture your essence in the period of time”

I want to be able to share things through my writing. I want to talk about important topics without being too heavy. Dipping into photojournalism is a step I’m excited to take. I want to reach the everyday person that is not an intellectual or is used to read National Geographic or the New Yorker in their free time.

I think there is a way to show eloquence and in writing without boring your audience. If yes I have personal experiences that I can share, like racism, manipulation, conservation of wildlife, creative photography, travelling and so on, I want to dip my feet into channelling others’ experiences that can involve all types of people that exist in this world.

The human race has caused large damage to the planet but I believed there are experiences that show compassion, tolerance and kindness that at worth sharing. And many of these people will and are creating a positive impact in their neighbourhood, people around them or the world in that matter.

I never see myself as a writer, but in that sense, I never saw myself as anything specific … which has been beneficial to accomplish goals without a sense of failure or an affirmation.

I’m happy to say I’m very content with myself and my skills, and even with my limitations. My universe contains many dimensions that help to jump from tourism to visual art, music, photography and ultimately writing.

I can still be a climber, photographer and writer, all at once. I’ve always felt that society trains us to be good in one thing, the thing that identifies us and what people know us for. But that’s a limitation and well that’s another topic to jump on at another time.

If I can describe myself into something specific it would be like this. I’m a Photojournalist that uses photography, writing, travelling, climbing, storytelling and other affinities to share experiences. That makes sense but is also very complex … Is what makes a person and takes the willingness to learn that universe, let’s be a beautiful blank canvas full of stars and constellations that are unexplored.
